In October 2006 Gb Plange UK attended a Warburtons Supplier Conference. Warburtons have approx 4,000 suppliers and the ‘elite’ 200 were asked to attend the conference. At the end of the conference awards were given to 4 suppliers who, in the eyes of Warburtons, had made an outstanding contribution to their business. Gb Plange were the only ingredient company within the 4 to receive an award!

Werhahn Mühlen KG, the flour and bakery ingredients segment of the Werhahn Group, and GBI Holding BV (GBI) announced today the agreement on the sale of GBI’s bread ingredients businesses to Werhahn. The transaction will be effective per August 1st 2006 and will include all the Bread Improver and Pastry Ingredients activities of GBI in Europe and the export markets. (not including the Joint venture Uniferm in Germany).
